Make a payment
Most clients pay directly from the invoice emailed to them — that link is the simplest route and it applies the payment to the right engagement automatically. Use this page if you no longer have the invoice, or if you were asked to send a retainer.
Pay online
Payment is handled on a secure page hosted by Helcim, our payment processor. You will leave this website to complete it, and return here afterward.
Have your invoice number ready if you have one — it appears in the upper-right corner of the invoice, and entering it lets us match your payment to your file without a phone call. If you are paying a retainer and have no invoice number, enter your full name instead.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Bank transfer (ACH) is available on request for larger balances.
Prefer not to pay online?
Checks are welcome. Make them payable to Everstead Tax Services and mail to:

If a deadline is close, tell us the check is on its way — we will not hold up a filing waiting for mail.
Payment questions
Common questions
How do I know how much to pay?
The amount is on the invoice you were emailed, and it matches the flat fee quoted before the work began. If you cannot find the invoice or the number does not look like what you expected, call or email before paying — it is easier to sort out beforehand than to reverse afterward.
When is payment due?
Invoices are due on receipt unless the engagement letter says otherwise — see the Terms of Engagement for the standing payment terms. For return preparation, payment is generally expected before the return is transmitted — you will always see and approve the completed return first.
Do you charge a card processing fee?
No. The amount on your invoice is the amount you pay.
Can I pay in installments?
For larger engagements, yes — that is arranged in advance rather than at the point of payment. Ask when the fee is quoted and it will be reflected in the engagement letter.
Will I get a receipt?
Helcim emails one automatically as soon as the payment is processed. If you need an itemized invoice marked paid for your own records or for a business deduction, ask and one will be sent.
Something not right with your invoice?
Ask before you pay. A billing question is a two-minute conversation, and it is always easier to resolve one before money moves.
